Family Reserve Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

Voluptuous and immense, yet well behaved.
Rich, expansive nose of dark berries, and coffee notes. Palate displays soft brown sugar, coupled with cigar notes and brisk tannins, with tight acidity. Oodles of runway ahead of this.

Just bottled. 2014 silencieux is singing right now. This needs to develop and become more expressive. More viscosity/punch than silenciuex but not quite complex enough right now with the tannins.

Decanted 3hrs smooth as silk excellent fruit

Took a while to open up. I was preferring the entrepreneur more earlier on but that ran out. Would have liked to have done a side by side later in the evening. I think this overtook it but not completely sure. This has improved so much since release

This is a big beautiful glass of wine. Deep rich dark fruits aromas beckon you to drink. Full body, smooth and delicious to the last drop. Hints of spice and ripe fruit will linger nicely. We did decant this for about ninety minutes. Well worth the wait. I am can't wait to see how this develops in five or so years.

The 14 Venge (vhen-gee) Family Reserve hits hard at first but softens up nicely. Decanted for an hour during dinner but it could've used a decent bit more time than that. Nice and complex though, cherry and blackberries, good acidity, light tannins, full mouthfeel. Looking forward to saving my other bottles another 2-3 years at least and trying them again. -- 2017 birthday celebration
