Medium purple with a hint of a garnet core in the glass. A deep, rich nose full of floral accents, rhubarb, blackberry, and dark chocolate. I imagine that this was a quite different wine in its youth. Now this is such a soft and round Cab when compared to its like. Never too forceful or bold but rather, compliant and easygoing. But there is still some power here. A fun bit of nuance and complexity with soft tannins and medium acidity. Blue and black berries fill the mouth along with cigar smoke and a very light oak influence. Pretty stuff.
