Black fruit, violet, lilac, spice and rose petals. M tannin, nicely balanced. Drinkable now but with time will become even more elegant.

I am becoming an Aussie Cab snob. I know everyone loves the eucalyptus-riddled Coonawarra samples but I fell for this Margaret River sample in class last night. The official WSET 3 analyzation (slightly shortened):
Appearance: ruby with slow thick tears
Nose: medium plus intensity, black cherry, currants, pyrazines (green pepper), vanilla, cedar, sweet spice. Palate: dry, med + acid, med + tannin, med alcohol, med + intensity, black currants, vanilla, pepper, cloves, cedar, med + finish ...tis VERY good

2012 today's mystery player, dry, savoury and persistent. Almost tangy.

Absolutely the best pound for pound Cabernet you can buy. A voluptuous wine, but maintains varietal integrity. #topnotch #napakiller
