Cuvée Jean Fannière Origine Extra Brut Grand Cru Champagne Blend

Green apples and lemon. Dry, brisk and pleasing.

Had a whole note. Delectable ate it.

Ripe nose, lifted, moving towards a almost honeyed/nutty stage. Citrus peel, lime curd, green papaya, quince and yellow apple skin. Back palate is powerful, mineral and phenolic depths dominate the finish. To me a touch disjointed and lacking a wholeness to it. 100 CH 70 Cramant 30 Oger, 50% 2008 reserve, 11.2013 disgorgement

Better than other Extra Bruts I have had. Very dry, crisp and toasty.

Disgorged 05/15/2013. Capital E extra brut. Great fruit. Powerful wine. Acid seems a bit over bearing/searing. Little softness to the edge. Still an intriguing enjoyable wine.

2024/1. Started quite taught, with zingy acidity, but on revisiting a couple of days later had blossomed into a reach, creamy blanc de blancs - while retaining all the minerality

"Old" bottle but doing well. Must be degorgement 2017 or earlier, as it has been a long time since I visited the Domaine. Low dosage BdB can be excellent, like is the case for Varnier-Fannière.

Very special, red fruits from Pinot noir. No, this is made from Chardonnay grape. 2nd time on 200318, tasty giving impact with matured pear and nuts flavor and sourness. jean fanniere champagne origin extra brut, AVIZE CUVEE grand cru @2300, - Kkami, 210303

Don't know the disgorgement date for this bottle, but this is amongst the best J-F I've had. Excellent!!
