Vanessa was a wine we've wanted to try for some time and New Year's Eve at Il Caminetto in Whistler was the perfect place to try this big Cabernet Franc paired with their beautiful holiday menu... On the nose, this was deep black cherry with a smokiness that invites you in... On the palate, that smokiness evolves into tobacco and woodiness that makes this very interesting along with the big black cherry base... This played very well with the bold flavors of the menu including game... Well worth trying.
