An additional couple of years in the cellar since my previous bottle have helped. It was good in 2021 but is more delicious now. Nose shows sappy cherry, mid-toned musky florals, graham cracker crumbs, and stony gravel. Silky-textured, it’s got a very Burgundian amalgam of damp earthiness and dark cherry, with just a subtle complementary hint of oak. Very nice acidity. In a medium frame, it’s got a long, detailed finish.

More youthful than expected, the nose is a little reserved but show classic notes of dark cherry, moist gravel, baking spice, and crushed rock. Tight and still exhibiting some youthful tannin in the mouth, it shows fairly Burgundian flavor profile, with fruit and clean earth in equal measure. Finish shows a slight bitterness as it recedes, but it’s not so much that it detracts. This needs some time in the cellar still. Better in 2-4 years I bet.

Wonderful Oregon Pinot Noir. Dark fruit on the nose, silky tannins, my favorite of the estate select vineyards we tasted at the winery.
