Really nice and surprising in a good way. Had real length and strength with firm tannins, but had a feminine air a bit reminiscent of a Burgundy. Nice

Big and powerful, but still with a long elegant finish. The tannins are a little prominent still. Black fruit, baking spice. Better in 2-5 years then great for another 15+ beyond that. 1999 vintage.
