Riserva Madonna del Piano Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

I usually love this but wasn't feeling it all today. It was a bit harsh and tannic. Not my favorite.

Raisin-y. Smooth as a baby’s a. Long finish.

Very good but I expected more. Opened for two hours before drinking. Probably should have been more but still a little thin.

Really nice and surprising in a good way. Had real length and strength with firm tannins, but had a feminine air a bit reminiscent of a Burgundy. Nice

Wine Tasting

Big and powerful, but still with a long elegant finish. The tannins are a little prominent still. Black fruit, baking spice. Better in 2-5 years then great for another 15+ beyond that. 1999 vintage.

Opulent wine with lots of refined fruit and silky tannins. Amazingly long finish.
