Fiano di Avellino

Bright and succulent, slightly textural, great layers, very persistent. Very delineated flavors of peach, salted preserved lemon and watermelon Jolly Rancher (which really jumps out at the nose). Benefits tremendously from 24 hours of air. Decanting recommended.

No butter on the 2018 @Andrew Mecoli , and pretty easy to order online still.

Soft, floral, sweet basil and fresh peach and apricot fruit. Minerality builds slowly into the finish. Honeysuckle emerging with air. Delicate, almost weightless wine that is surprisingly impactful.

2017 resolution: drink more Italian whites. Nose was restrained tropical fruits, slightly buttery with nice salinity on the back end. Good. Night 2: better, richer, rounder.

Solid producer, solid Fiano. A bit more buttery than I expected, but the salty finish balances it out nicely.

After almost 24 years, it still has great acidity supported by a solidly ripe yellow fruit palate. It reminds me an old Mosel Riesling

Nothing wrong with this wine, but nothing terribly exciting about it either.

Green-ish, with pears and honey.
