Upper Bench Estate Winery
Okanagan Valley Zweigelt
Canadian wine pleasantly suprises me again. Bit more fruit than Austrian versions but the varietal shines. Held up well over 5 days and has great balance

Oct 29th, 2013Spicy and peppery on the nose with leather. Stewed red fruits on the palate. Overall a very unique wine!

Feb 20th, 2019Not a common grape especially from here in BC, Canada...An Austrian variety grape that yields a rich full.body taste...balanced acidity and tannins aromas od spiciness and dark fruit berries...accents of vanilla and paired beautifully as recommended with Brie cheese that I purchased from the .shop...yes a winery and creamery at the same location. What a better way to showcase and taste both facets of UPPER BENCH. The wine paired beautifully with butterflied stuffed chicken beast with Upper bench brie and herbs. ...wild rice on the side and grilled asparagus.!!!!...Need more!!!!😄 A young wine that I am sure would prove to be even better with a prolonged stint in the wine cellar.
