Unti Vineyards
Petit Frere Dry Creek Valley Red Rhone Blend
Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California, USA

Ok but not exceptional (in any way). Had in a high end Mexican restaurant in SF and was perfectly fine with the food.

Delicious, well-made Rhone blend. Really enjoyed this.

Lovely. Balanced though still a bit fruit forward. Relatively soft tannins.

Jul 17th, 2018Nice CdR blend from DCV. Surprised at the fruit still left here, particularly on the front. A bit hotter than I suspected it might be.

Unti doesn't make a bad wine. Not one. This Petit Frere is affordable greatness, smooth but distinctive with peppery notes and excellent balance.

This really it shouldn't last this long, but it's beautiful at 11 years. had a bit of a problem so filtered and decanted it for about 20 minutes.
Lots of both red and black fruit. The front approaches gently and the mid palate is moderately wide. It finishes extremely wide and round with some serious chalk and earth minerals.
