The first edition of Jardin d'Ulysse, based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged in 2021 has aged beautifully in bottle. It’s really picked up intensity and generosity since it was first released. It definitely needs air, in fact, I’d have it open an hour or so in advance. It’s a taut, racy rendition with a stunningly silky texture while simultaneously rich with just the slightest oxidative complexity that’s beginning to build and only adding to its attraction. Its floral, spice and citrus inflicted aromatics are layered between its chalky mineral core and the palate is chiseled, full bodied, satiny and concentrated, with structure built to age. It’s only going to get better. Love these wines 🙌🏻

Nov 20th, 2023The second edition of Jardin d'Ulysse which is aged 60 months on the lees has turned out brilliantly, a taut, tensile and racy rendition, showing incredible purity and elegance in its fruit expression. It’s simultaneously silky and rich, with floral, spice and citrus inflicted aromatics and a chalky mineral core. The palate is chiseled, full bodied, satiny and ultra concentrated and with a structure built to age. This definitely seems to be the bottling to tuck away, but already stunning.
