Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese Blend

One of my favorites in Tuscany. I assume this wine tastes better in Italy! It was also waaayyyyy too young!

This has a tart cherry nose that could easily be confused with Oregon Pinot. On the palate typical young Sangiovese tannins tell a different story. Big fan of this producer, had to purchase this in order to get some of the 2010 Brunello riserva which wont get touched for a few decades :)

Bright red cherries shine over vanilla bean and subtle Tuscan herbs. Round, a touch slurpy with cherry and strawberry fruit. Acidity is fresh to finish with tannin showing. Great weeknight wine.

I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of Italia. And to the republic, for which it stands, that vino rosso.

Italian reds all day! Plum, dry apricot, medium tannins. Clean. Would drink again and again.

Old world flavor, enough clay and perfect finish to round it out

Complex and balanced and light bodied. Very nice summer wine.

Light and smooth

Took a little while but once it opened up this was at once rustic and delicate. Pretty red fruit and dusty tannins. Yum. Worth the wait to aerate the s#$t out of it or cellar for a few years.
