This wine is a statue of an angel that isn't quite finished being sculpted. Beautiful aromatics overshadowed a bit by brooding tannic structure. The tannish have ebbed on day 2 and the wine is showing marvelously. A wine for the cellar.

aromas of balsamic, prune, brown sugar, black cherry, charcuterie, earth, a little tarragon. smells great.
flavors show dried cherries, wood, dried herbs, a little red licorice. gentle tannins. sweet dried cherries and herbs. very nice.
