Tyrrell's Wines
Vat 1 Hunter Valley Semillon
Pale straw yellow still
Great intensity
Maybe a bit too green
There's some lime, even in a jelly kind of expression, lemongrass, spring onions
Lanolin very prominent
I'd a bit one dimensional
I hope just too young, but it could have been harvested too early too
It comes from a dry vintage which is a good one in Hunter
I dunno I like it yes, but I am not fully convinced as I was last time I tasted this vintage. It will last yes, but I am not 100% sure where it will go
I am being very peaky still cause I drank a full bottle during the tennis final last night

Yes!! The wine you need!!!
Refreshing, showing hints of complexity: lime, passion fruit, dragon fruit, lanolin, cashew, peanuts, kind of buttery background. I would buy 12 bottles now if you had it!! Fair dinkum!!

Waxy lanolin nose, grassy/lantana (from a cool vintage?) Still carrying plenty of acid @ 15 years Will last a while yet but the fruit won't match the acid. Still a good wine presently. This is the Vat 1.
