Turley
Hayne Vineyard Petite Syrah
Napa Valley, California, USA
Pretty good. Kicked off a lot of sediment
Great structure and opened up to reveal the fruit after 30 mins to an hour

Dry farmed bush vines planted in '53. In a sweet spot; drinking great now but could be held longer. Opened a couple cases of this last Saturday and was impressed at the consistency from bottle to bottle. And my hands were purple.

2004 Vintage. 15% Alcohol. Tannins have finally resolved and there is still good fruit here.

May 17th, 2021Full disclosure this has always been my favorite wine in the Turley portfolio . Greeted by a huge nose of black and blue fruit. Text book concentration in the mouth with very well hidden alcohol. A layered and complex finish.
