The 2020 Dupratt Zinfandel from one of Turley’s more remote holdings drank more like a Barbera at first before mellowing with air. On opening the nose of bright red fruit, earth and forest spread across the room and it hit with raspberry, a touch of smokiness and some near citrus like acidity. Over time, this transitioned to dark berries and graphite and a long smooth finish, never completely losing its edge. A unique Zin, great with food.
