Took a couple hours to open up. Still some fine tannin, but things are pretty nicely resolved with a good balance of fruit and earthy notes. 13.7% alc. Drinking at peak and quite a treat.

The nose on this wine is incredible but it is still incredibly tannic. I'm not sure the fruit will outlast the rabbis that still need to be resolved.

The next library wine Meg opened was the massive '97 Turley Petite Syrah 'Aida Vineyard'. Gobs of red and black fruit aromas. Peppery notes on the tongue followed by a still tannic finish. Sadly the last vintage from this historic vineyard.
