A truly spectacular Italian Merlot, grandiose, concentrated and ripe. This wine has a deep purple almost black color. The nose is rip and powerful with plums, prunes, black current, dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Full body rich, intense, concentrated, dense, mouth full tannins, rich and chewy. Good supporting acidity to keep it going for another decade, long delicious finish. My score 92, drink to 2024. This was the grand finale for a wonderful weekend in magical Florence. In one word Yummy.
