2012 Tsiakkas XINISTERI.... Well so much for they don't age well and all the bull s-h-i-t about to be consumed young. That's the case if there are no good cellaring conditions , in fact a week or so is enough in Cyprus summer to kill it.
Beautiful herbal, touch of citrus dry floral nose. The palate is fresh, elegant, with finesse touch lemony with dried herbs & flowers. Blind I'll go an entry GRU-VE or even Albariño.
For your own good don't disregard this grape's great attributed and potentials. We believe that it didn't get the respect that it deserves!

I enjoyed the age on this wine, it was layered with structure and aromatics. Great value for the price!

NOSE: light, bright, lemon, seawater…a little asparagus? Green something. The tiniest smidge of passionfruit.

TASTE: clean…very clean. Less acid than you expect. Distinct spices…chili? Cardamom? White flower petals. This would be great with fish tacos. 90.

Bright, snappy, clean. Citrus, nectarine; ginger powers the finish.

Pale straw color. Very fruity. Citrus dominated. Dry and medium body. Strong minerality in the finish.

Cyprus! I’m going to be honest, I don’t really remember details of the wine but I know I liked it - but not necessarily anything to write home about. Just a nice refreshing wine. #sommcon
