Just when you think you have tasted "every" iteration of aged Gewürztraminer, along comes along comes a "ringer" out of nowhere! Dry and viscous, this wine is pleasantly waxy with a nice balance of stone fruits, particularly dried apricots. I drank it without food, which was fine, but I suspect it would be substantially more delicious with appropriate cuisine.

Bought on a whim as I’ve never tried a Greek gewurztraminer. Crisp, bright, quite dry.

Airy floral notes. Characteristic spice aromatics are a bit lighter/muted. Quite impressed with what is possibly my first Greek Gewurz.

93/100pts, 4.4⭐. Arcadia, home of legends & the oldest Gewurztraminer of Greece, here in 2017 vintage.

Yellow with silver hues.
Impressions of seductive tropical florals in misty nursery on enchanting nose.
Med+ body with elegant acidity in playful mood with solid minerality.
Lychee, marjoram, unripe apple & half baked bread notes in layered palate.
Awesome aftertaste, slightly off dry spring herbals. Long finish.

🗨 2017 vintage proves the most elegant Gewurzt ever produced in Greece.
A liquid filigree.
