Truro Vineyards Roberts Family Reserve Barbera

A blend of Barbera, Zinfandel, and Petite Syrah, barrel aged two years. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits and spicy notes. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry, cacao and pepper spice. Medium finish, fine tannins ending with a jolt of acidity. Ok for Cape Cod, no aging benefit drink now.

This wine defies all expectations of a red made in New England. I’ve got to look into where the grapes are from because this rivals Barberas from Italy.

Nice for the price. Light and promising.

Unbelievable that this wine is made on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A bright, acidic barbera, better than most I've had from Italy. Raspberry and lemon on the nose, with great follow through.
