A very respectable wine from the Applegate, showcasing the varietals they do best. Each varietal takes a turn at the forefront, doing a quick walk and spin down the runway for your palate, and then making way for the next. The 20 month barrel age is apparent in the balanced oak profile and silky mouth feel. I first tasted this wine in the tasting room at Troon, and tonight I'm patting myself on the back for picking up a bottle.
