Spells just like Christmas berries (wild pepper)
Medium bodied - the heavier side of the scale - Pepper, Pepper, Pepper! Tight berry blend, cherry, Blueberry, some jazz apple. A great acid/tannin balance, and still that pepper lingers.. Worth the interesting sips.

Saline and mild. Don’t have the full fruit I was expecting from a Syrah. Would maybe try again. But not anytime soon. Other more fruity and flavorful NZ wines to try. 14.99 from WH

Color of purple and ruby. Deep color yet quite clear. Nose of nice raspberry and cherry, good aldehyde and oak, licorice, a bit wet mushroom. In fact the nose feels like decent full body Pinot noir. Taste follows the nose with addition of prune, black pepper, low tannins, zest, blackberry, dried berries. Clean and very flavorful. Aftertaste snow some more zest, ripe grapes, and peppery note. Very good.
