Trimbach
Alsace Pinot Blanc
Alsace, France

Another nice party wine. $12. Light honey, straw, peach, stones. Fresh. Fruity finish.

2014v. My first pinot blanc from Alsace. Quite boring, esp considering the other varietals from the region. It's basically cool slate with a light, rounded body in the mouth and a hint of lemon and smoke. Really lacking fruit, though. Dry. I suppose it would be fine as a supporting role washing down some seafood or chicken. With all of this said, though, it does feel like a well made and balanced wine. 12.5% ABV.
