Fruity upon first opening. I would agree that this bottle needs 1 hour + to really let loose. It does develop into a nice toasty, spice box with a medium tannic finish. Will drink again.

Aug 18th, 2021cherry, brown sugar/nutmeg? well balanced tannins & acidity, bubble gum finish. Simpler but drinkable.

May 22nd, 2014Strong peppery start that slides into a medicinal flavor. Hopefully this was just a bad bottle. I've had much better $10-12 bottles of Zinfandel.

Feb 13th, 2016Meh, pretty good. Considering the time it needs to decant, it doesn't seem worth the effort.

Jun 28th, 2015Starts off surprisingly soft and meek but really opens up after a couple of hours to reveal a backbone + dark fruit. Balanced, not hot or flabby.
