Fruity upon first opening. I would agree that this bottle needs 1 hour + to really let loose. It does develop into a nice toasty, spice box with a medium tannic finish. Will drink again.

Strong peppery start that slides into a medicinal flavor. Hopefully this was just a bad bottle. I've had much better $10-12 bottles of Zinfandel.

Starts off surprisingly soft and meek but really opens up after a couple of hours to reveal a backbone + dark fruit. Balanced, not hot or flabby.
