The freshness and mineral components are kind of obscured by some new oak which manifests itself in a sort of creamy cocoa/chocolate aroma, which isn't the best compliment to what Valtellina is, IMO, but it's still a really good wine. Powerful mountain herb bouquet, great tension. Nebb!!

Mid garnet, but the nose is stunning; not huge, but amazingly complex. Suggestive of gummi raspberries, sour cherry, and tar. The palate is a perfect reflection, adding tannic bite and firmness to the mix. Savory and fruity, it's a chunk of wine with a coffee tinged, very dry finish. Lovin' it!
