Pulled from the cellar. Trefethen 2010 Viognier - still lychee and honeysuckle on the nose, but the palate is all spice! Rich, full palate, white pepper and cooking herbs, hints of the primary fruits linger, but they are whispers of their former self

Feb 12th, 2014Twilight at Trefethen won us over so we spent a little more than I might otherwise for a Viognier. No regrets. Great fruit and perfect acidity. Went so well with pasta and lobster with a rich garlic tarragon sauce.

Jan 29th, 2016Usually all the Trefethens are really good. Never went wrong with any bottles. I just received this in my wine club shipment. Should have probably aged it. The 2010 that I aged was so much better. It was all sold out at the Vineyard in Nov too! We grabbed the last bottle they had. Not a big fan of this one.
