The unnecessarily but satisfyingly quirky bottle shape is a distinctive feature of the wines of Gattinara. From northern Piemonte, this is great value, high-quality, old-fashioned Nebbiolo. Delectable say it costs $74; it doesn't, it's around $30.

Jun 6th, 2017First go with Gattinara and very pleased. A bit lighter than some other Piedmontese neighbors but nice dark fruits and earthy tones. Held up well with our Steak Florentine

Jul 12th, 2017Very good wine, which is ready for drinking.
Aromas: marzipan, blood, rust, aluminum, cranberry, dogrose, red currant, olives, tomatoes, lacquer.
Well balanced with medium acidity.
