It’s a new new economy so I grabbed this to budget down while hunkering down. I had low expectations and they were exceeded! At $14.99 you even get a bit of Rutherford dust.

This Napa Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is not showing as well as I excepted.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, toast, vegetables, earth, bitter herbs, peppercorn, pencil lead and dark coffee.
Medium plus in body with a short finish. Fine grained tannins.
Bitter on the mid palate.
Might need a couple of years in the bottle to mature and remove those bitter, earthy notes.

Smarter man than I gave it a “meh” for the 2017 vintage. I was hoping for a different story with this vintage. Unfortunately “meh” still applicable.

Good but not as good as tjoes claims for platinum. A little too thin and tart.
