Today I’m trying a new “petit reserve” from Sonoma County. The nose is remarkably California meets Sancerre with notes of dry lemon citrus along with touches of fresh cut grass and wet stone. The palate is very dry and crisp with only the slightest kiss of fruit. Lemon and lime zest flavors lead to lots of minerality and very soft acidity. The finish is long, dry and zesty with continued notes of dry citrus oils. If you like a very dry Sauvignon Blanc this is a steal at $6.99. I know I’ll be getting more!
