Heady wild black fruit. Minimal oak and air influence. It holds its fruit tight, but clear and clean. I think this will be magic in ten years.

Nice petite sirah that opened up after a bit. Gentle tannins.

Blackberry and blueberry. Still a decent touch of acidity. Petite Syrah is not typically my favorite, but this is a really nice example.

Very dark rich intense yet smooth. Highly drinkable on its own and with dark chocolate.

This is the 2012. Nose has baking spice, dark minerality verging on smoke with wet earth and deeply sweet blackberries. Palate is full and rich with balanced acidity, a long finish, and just a bit of rusticity on the tannins. Somehow there's an elegance lurking under the chewiness. Might be from the cool climate or it might be the judicious use of oak. Either way, this wine has a freshness that sets off the brooding petite sirah nature really nicely. Really nice wine.

This is a Petite Sirah to enjoy. Nose has baking spice, dark minerality verging on smoke with wet earth and deeply sweet blackberries. Palate is full and rich with balanced acidity, a long finish, and just a bit of rusticity on the tannins. This is a fantastic wine with bright fruit that goes with light-flavored foods because it tastes so good, and goes with powerful-flavored foods because it is so present. Really nice wine.

Actually known as Duriff, after the man who made it with a clone. Real petite Syrah is different than what we know it here in USA.
