Smells cheap, has neither varietal character nor local character, obviously a mass-produced wine made with industrial process. Indistinguishable from most supermarket Valpolicella or Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, although this has little more body and concentration.

Very full bodied, between a dry and a sweet, but arching toward the dry side. Very delicious.

We love this grape and like this vineyard. Just dragged home a case but was surprised to see my merchant had ordered in the 2016 vintage. Here's hoping it measures up. Great value bottle.
