Paarl Mourvèdre

Too rich for my tastes but lovely latte, dark berries on the nose.

Brown sugar, spice, molasses, salty popcorn, leather, tobacco, good acidity

This is a Syrah-Mourvèdre blend. Lovely lighter color. Like rose hips and rust meet blood. Dusky-dusty aromas. Some ink well as well. Flavors are nice. Smooth and easy. Balance is good. Not as chewy and dense as I like my Syrah, but it’s elegant and citrus-y in a blood oranges and sangria sorta way. Plenty of spice box and tart red berry syrup too. This is a nice wine. One of the better I’ve had from South Africa. Much more reserved than most of them.

I completely didn't buy this because of the label had a funny fish... honestly.

Needs to blow off and air. Rich cherry and earthy smells. Full bodied yet light. Very good with lingering finish.

From the waiter: "If a Pinot noir and a Shiraz grape had a baby, this would be it..." I don't know about that, but it is tasty!

Really liking this, berry fruit and spice on the nose, soft mouth feel, vanilla, spice, leather. Good sipping wine, just need the BBQ weather....

Nice spicy Mouvedre. Acidity brings out the plum and fruit notes. Well balanced on the finish.

Great with spicy food

Great everyday drinking wine. Definitely recommend.
