Smooth and acidic with black fruit flavor. Elegant but not spectacular.

This is a very dry, and fruit forward wine. It doesn't have the earthy tones as a Cabernet. It is very flavorful, and more satisfying than a Pinot Noir.

Full bodied and bold but with softer tannins, blackberry and dark chocolate. Becoming a fan of primitivo.

The wine was medium dark purple in colour and offered cherry, blackberry, plum, tar, cocoa and cinnamon on the nose. On the palate the wine showed cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate, sweet spices, vanilla and cinnamon, paired with medium-plus acidity, medium-level tannin and very good length of the chocolaty finish. A medium- to full-bodied, medium-complex, well-balanced Primitivo. Drink now and over the next three years. 87
