The 2010 Bocca di Lupo is showing marvelously at the nine year mark. Sourced from this storied Puglia vineyard, the wine was partially aged in new French and Hungarian oak barrels (25%) before bottling. Tightly wound upon entry, this needs an hour decent to fully be aroused. Once awoken, the Aglianico takes the lead with a dense core of red fruits, leather and baking spices, with firm tannins and suggestions of milk chocolate that round out the expressive palate. Showing good freshness and verve, as well as weight, the 2010 Bucca di Lupo will enjoy a long life in the cellar. Drink 2019-2035- 92

Fun wine here. Sort of kicks you in the nose with some big profiles. Has a pipe tobacco nose, Virginia style. Muddled dark fruits and spices that give it a thoughtful elegance.

Absolutely delightful wine from Puglia. Rich, full bodied, complex in nature and succulent. Loved this wine and for the price at the restaurant, a fantastic value.

Stellar stuff. Smooth if aggressive tannins. Licorice, blackberries and violets. And as dark and beautiful as my still goth-at-heart soul. I dig it. I wish I'd bought more.

Apr 6th, 20172002 vintage. Man is thing drinking beautifully. Dark fruit, soft texture, medium weight, very nice complexity. Shows the benefit of aging even everyday wines. Just lovely, and so much more enjoyable than in its youth...
