Torbreck Vintners
Hillside Vineyard Grenache

This is in a good spot five years in. Hedonistic, but not over the top

Delectable - this is a new Cuvée for Torbreck brought to the Toowoomba Wine Show Dinner by Torbreck winemaker Greg McGill. This was the 2017 Hillside Grenache. A good Grenache but I still think McLaren Vale is better for the variety than the Barossa.

I was fortunate enough to attend the grand tasting at TexSom this year. Talk about a Who’s Who of the wine world! Incredible environment with beautiful wines.
@Delectable Wine : This is Torbreck’s Hillside Vineyard Grenache. I didn’t see it in the database.
Wow! Surprise of the night. This Grenache was so incredibly perfumed. Wasn’t spicy or red fruited. Faint purple in color, heady aromatics of potpourri, fresh plum, cassis and almost a light mid palate. Definitely not heavy. Flavors stayed with me forever.
