Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, black currants, black cherries, oak, vanilla, cloves, licorice, earth, light vegetables, chocolates, graphite, tobacco, vinaigrette and black pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, blackcurrants, plums, cherries, wood, licorice, earth, cloves, light vegetables, pencil lead, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This Napa Syrah is very enjoyable. Drinking very nicely now, with nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins. Needs 2 hours to open up properly.

This is an interesting wine, one to have with friends and talk about.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

100% Syrah grapes, single Vineyard, aged in French oak barrels. Only 300 cases were produced. Unfiltered and unfined.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$65.

Day 1: big tannic beast; day 2: after leaving it out for a day, still big bit much more accessible. Needs time or air. Also throws a lot of sediment at the end.

375ml. Very impressed. Dark red color. Mixture of Napa and Bordeaux on the nose. Insane balance of sweetness and tannic structure. Velvet on the palate. Could drink this all day long. Tried to buy more but appears they stopped making it in 2015. Such a shame as it rocks!!

Black cherry and cranberry notes. Earthy and light minerality. Fruity but full body. Perfect to drink now, alone or with food. Great celebratory wine. 🍷

Let it decant for an hour. Good sturdy flavors of oak vanilla, leather, burnt smoky fruit, and wet tobacco. Delicious and well structured, but I’m not sure about the price or the fuss.

Still just a baby. Opaque purple in the glass with violet undertones. Big Syrah nose of blackberry, figs, and smoke. About as California of a Syrah as there can be. Definitely needs plenty of air and time to open up. High acid and a good bit of heat that blows off in time. On the second day, this is so much more balanced and restrained. Very traditional California Syrah palate of dust earth, black olives, dark fruits, and Marlboros. Very refined and well made. Sit on this for a few years and it’ll pay off for you.
