Just like me - it’s showing a little age but still beautiful. This is a premier Chardonnay from Napa.

Who knew Tor makes a great wine for Greek food. This is drinking beautifully with length and a terrific finish.

This is drinking great - much better than the current release at the moment. It's a big Chardonnay but still keeps in the balanced Tor style I've come to love (but among all the Chardonnays I've had from Tor this may be the biggest). Flavors of vanilla, hazelnut, toast, pear and butter - some stone fruit and wet stones on the finish. A rich mouthfeel and a long finish.

Love TOR wines. Golden yellow, this chard opens with a nose of butterscotch. This is a rich, creamy wine with flavors of pear, hazelnut and toast. It still has a great balance bolstered by a light minerality that hits mostly on the finish. In a great drinking window right now. Had slightly below room temperature.

From the acclaimed Durell Vineyard, the 2009 TOR Chardonnay is all from the Wente Clone fruit, grown in a mix of Goulding clay loam and diatomaceous earth, the effect of which is startling. This is a big, brooding Chardonnay, with complex aromas of hazelnuts, vanilla, coffee bean, chocolate liquor, and praline. Silky on entry, quite compact, with mouth-coating glycerol and seductive, weighty notes of smoky poached pear, candied orange peel and unsalted butter. Imagine draping yourself in gold velvet.
