Tomić Barrique Plavac Mali

The barrique styles have a little more richness and jammy depth that I like to see in plavac. This one reminded me of a petite sirah. I like

Blackberry fruit, dry tannins, slight mintyness, goes down smooth, reminiscent of a low key Zinfandel

Dark fruit, dusty tannin, musty.

Spicy and tannins, dark berry. needs food

Another super solid red from the island of Hvrar. Plavac mali grape; nice tannins; smooth and just right re: fruit notes. Won’t disappoint at all!

Vanilla and Carmel on the nose over black fruit. Soft tannins enhance a cocoa and tobacco palate with an almost minty note at the end. Good length. Mouth watering.

French / Croatian oak, vanilla on nose. Velvety tannins, tart cherry, cocoa powder, tobacco leaf

Notes of cherry, cocoa, earth, and leather. Surprisingly soft compared to the other Croatian reds we tried.
