Dark red cherry band spice aromas. Bright red fruit on the palate, medium tannin and acidity, a hint of cocoa on the finish.

Tempranillo isn't completely foreign to Catalonia. Here, in Costers del Segre, it goes under the alias Ull de Llebre. Tomas Cusiné's easy drinking rendition draws its title from this local name. Gamey and mineral, the wine elicits tremendous varietal character with a vibrant acidity and medicinal herbal tones. The wine follows a lean, linear trajectory, broadening a tinge on the slightly oxidative, figgy finish.

Rabbit wine! Peppery terragon over red fruit, meat, and a whiff of mocha. Rich flavor, smooth delivery. I'll drink the next bottle with hare stew
