Valdisanti, 2012, Super Tuscan is very good. A great blend that is smooth. A definate get again!

A 10 year old red wine from one of my favorite producers in Tuscany on close out? Sure, I’ll bite! Still very dark and lively. Pairs well with chicken fried beef ribs (yes, you read that correctly), #Minitab and working from the hotel room.

Cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese, cabernet franc. Tannic on the tongue, but not overly big. It's good!

A good supertuscan, good Bordeaux blend but with the rough-and-ready leather of Sangiovese wrapping it all up. 09 needs another 5 years or so to really allow acid to settle down and fruit to open up but is still a lovely drink now. Enjoyed very much with grouse, and even more so wth wild boar ragú.
