This is a perfect example of how your state of mind or the position of the moon can change your perception of a wine. Until tonight this wine has never “wowed” me but right now I’m digging it. Medium gold colour. Ripe pineapple, gasoline and diesel, pine resin, thyme honey, and butterscotch. On the palate it has an incredible balance between sweet ripe fruit and tart acidity. #lateharvest#tokaji

A really nice Hungarian wine. Mild sweetness, pear, pineapple, crisp apple, honey. Fresh acidity balances it nicely. Not too sweet at all. Very enjoyable wine, not just with dessert.

This wine is still showing pretty well but is probably on the decline (showing some signs of oxidation perhaps?). Ripe yellow apple, pineapple, dried mango, white pepper, honeyed things. Lots of flavor but lacks the acidity and umami characteristics of an aszú.
