Tasted blind and thought it was a Pinot. Big bold red fruit with moderate acidity. Light color and acidity threw me. Very un-Zin-like.

Blackberry on nose and up front, nice spice and tannins. Not as much of a jammy fruit bomb as expected. Liked it.

Very nice. The 8.5 rating makes sense. While I like a jammy Zin this does have a nice "jam" and finishes with a little pepper bite.

Like fresh ripe blackberries right off the vine. This wine is a bit hot though, showing and feeling like 15% alcohol.

Fruit bomb but still dry. Almost hints of a port with the high alcohol content. Very typical of California.
