Blanco 2012 Great nose of ripe pears, touch of peach with light coconut, persimmon and smokey almond, snow melt mineral touch. Good palate weight with ripe pear, peach and sweet apple, very drinkable stuff.

Beautifully expressive nose of small black & red berry fruit and a sweet herbaceous character with great depth. In the mouth this is rich and full on with plenty of acidity, plush fruit filled tannin, chewy but juicy with a succulent black fruited finish. Superb.

Went through the CMS grid blind on this one and was way off. Called it a Cali Merlot?! Definitely more modern in style which threw me. After being revealed it's definitely still ripe and more fruit forward than earthy for a rioja. However, still quite tasty.
