California Merlot

This wine completes my reviews of Tisdale wines.

All their varieties rate from ok to good, but this merlot fails miserably.

Black fruit taste sour, and is too acidic. I can be frugal, but ill pass on this one.

At least The pizza was good.

That this is a cheap big-box wine makes it even nicer that it's also very drinkable! Blackberry jam then mild tannins and a touch of vanilla.

Nice cheap wine. Juicy, light tannin with oak. 🍷

Ripe berry melts into...butter? Definitely malic acid in this Merlot. Unusual but nice!

Very modestly priced. Not a bad wine, but it's very different from other Merlots I've had. Starts with blckberry/blueberry with an almost sweet finish. Tannins are nonexistent.

Very nice! Hints of blackberry, then some vanilla, oak and a little spice.

Better than the price tag gives it a right to be, but actually pretty good

Lighter fire truck red color. Smells very fruity and boring. Flavors are very basic (in a bad way). Ripe. Another bad red of CA. Plonk. Passable plonk, but let’s hope there’s another wine available…

Nice drink on the lighter side of merlot. Sweet blend of a wine not too tannic. Almost in the mouthfeel of many French wines.
