Drunk: Nose better than the palate.

94 points James Halliday
**Top 100 Reds Under $20** Full crimson-purple hue; a fine web of earth and spice is wound through the dark cherry and damson plum fruit of both the bouquet and palate alike, providing an extra measure of texture and structure. Still in its infancy, but promises much for the future - and an enticing price. (Halliday on Winemaker Tim Knappstein) - With 50+ years of winemaking and more than 500 wine show awards under his belt...the prices for almost all of the wines are astonishingly low. (9/2015)

K&L NotesA pure, aromatic, rich, juicy, fruit-driven Pinot from highly respected winemaker Tim Knappstein. Tim who is a 4th generation vigneron has been making wines in the Adelaide Hills since 1966 and is one of the most experienced guys in business. The "Dagger" Pinot shows this lovely cool, ocean-influenced climate of the Adelaide Hills. It has a perfect combination of lush, rich, silky soft fruit, exotic ground spices, and a touch of French oak. Absolutely delicious Pinot for the money and one that is sure to be a real crowd pleaser. I love that this wine has tons of fruit and richness without being overly alcoholic, weighing in at a balanced 13.5% abv! This is a great everyday drinker brought to you at importer direct pricing! With Tim's top reputation, huge scores from the critics and low pricing, this is set to go very fast. (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Aussie Wine Buyer)

It's a fairly simple Pinot but what it lacks in complexity it makes up for in drinkability. Mostly red fruits with maybe a little blood plum and just a hint of funk. Really enjoyed this.
