Naoussa Jeunes Vignes de Xinomavro

Moroccan cuisine and Greek wine are a winning combo tonight in Montreal at dinner with my little sister. Anise, jasmine, rose, lavender, raspberry, smoke and dust together form a light bodied wine with tension and intense fragrance. Absolutely lovely and a steal too.

I dig this wine, it takes me to my happy place.

Acid framework of red to black fruit, fine firm tannins in the scaffolding #xinomavro juiciness fills it. Lovely pair for the local lamb, sautéed greens tossed with tagiasca olives

Reminds me so much of a Langhe Nebbiolo this year. I also think this wine's rating on hear is a victim of its country and price. Blind, I think this wine would rarely see a rating below 9. It's awesome, and has such a great transformation from first glass to last.

Great acidity, super fresh red fruit, floral and mineral. Such a happy wine. Great value.
