Store: Whole Foods
Price: $2.50
Appearance:Clear medium plus ruby.
Nose: Clean, pronounced dark berry, green peppercorn, green bell pepper.
Palate: Dry, medium acidity and tannin, medium-minus body. Flavors of Dark berries, and baking spices.
Short finish.
Conclusion: For $2.50, this is a very good Merlot.
Conclusion: Commentary: If you can only afford to spend $2.50 on a bottle of wine, you can do a whole lot worse. Has my support for a wine in the under $5 category. Props for easy removed synthetic cork, and light weight glass. ABV is a mere 12.5%, which I believe is why this wine is successful.
