Thill (Eric and Bérengère)
Cotes du Jura Poulsard
2018 vintage. Poulsard has very little pigmentation in the skin and therefore looks in general more like a rosé, but this wine has a very deep colour for this variety (typical for the vintage I was told). Éric Thill is a great producer, and this is a great example of the grape variety. Subtle, but captivating perfume, flowers mixed with red berries and a subtle hint of basil. Light and delicate in the mouth, but in no ways thin. Juicy bright red berries, a subtle spiciness and a nice tannic bite that gives it an irresistible slightly rustic charm. Good length too. Lovely. Be prepared to finish a whole bottle on your own. Abv. 12,5%.
