Stunning nose. This is wide open right now. Fresh soil tones, mushroom, sour cherry and red cherry fruit. Floral and so deep. Gorgeous and in a terrific place aromatically. Chewy, deep and rich with wonderful purity and depth of fruit. Velvety and refined tannins. This is in such a good place now. Good depth and concentration plus freshness off the charts and wonderful transparency. Long finish and terrific sap and fruit saturation.

What a great nose. Really at peak. Jumps out. Bright cherries, red plum and spice. Terrific purity to the aromas. Almost a lipstick like intensity. Juicy and ripe with sweet sweet fruit. Very elegant. Long with terrific purity. Great showing.

The 2015 Irancy Veaupessiot, aged entirely in demi-muids, has a very pure and detailed bouquet of black cherries, raspberry, hints of rose petal and fine mineralité, equal to a premier cru Côte d’Or Rouge. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannin, perfectly pitched acidity and a pure, quite sensual finish that fans out with red cherries, raspberry and saline notes. Wonderful. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018)

This is super open after a brutal closed period. Had it in March blind from Thierry's cellar and was glorious. My 2nd to last bottle. Nose of sweet cherry fruit, very red, nice intense minerality and some wet earth. Rustic and high toned. Some mint and fine tobacco. Glorious. Palate is balanced, lipsmacking and ripe. Nice acids. Nice texture and balance. Needs 40 minutes still to round out. Big Irancy tannins but excellent ripeness.

Showing so well. Deep cherry fruit. Mostly red but also some black. Spice, mint, menthol, earth, glorious aroma. Unreal nose. Palate is rich and ripe with super intense fruit and perfect balance. So juicy and mineral. What a showing. Long finish and just so good today.

Last time I had this around 1.5-2 years ago it was brutally closed. On my recent trip to France I had the regular 08 and it was glorious. Was time for a revisit. Nose is very promising with leafy earth tones, dried flowers, spice, menthol and mint and distinct aged aromas finally coming through. Really nice aromas. Wow, amazing what time does. Elegant and juicy with delicious red fruits and terrific fine powder like tannins. What balance and poise. This has transformed remarkably. It is the wine I remember now tasting it years ago in Thierry's cellar back in 2012.
